The Herman’s Gallery, a collection of award-winning children’s artworks, is co-created by children between the ages of 6 and 12 from around the world.
The Herman’s Gallery was created with the acceptance of the International Competition for Artworks Made by Children, which were carried out by the Institute for creative development of young people of Mihailo Lišanin for 21 years. Since 1995, more than 130,000 children and young people from 110 countries around the world have participated in the competition. The award-winning works were on display at more than 270 exhibitions in 33 different countries.
The Museum of Recent History Celje today hosts more than 4000 artworks of young people, which were rewarded in individual calls from the Institute for creative development of young people between 1995 and 2016. The works that will be rewarded from 2019 onwards will be included in the Herman’s Gallery at the Museum of Recent History Celje.
